Our top recommendations for your weekend
Madrid is bursting with energy, making it the perfect host for the Grand Prix. With your Formula 1 Madrid Tickets, you’re not just signing up for high-speed thrills on the circuit, but also for culinary highlights, glamorous neighbourhoods and unforgettable sights. Here are our favourite picks to make your race weekend in the Spanish capital truly special:
Culinary highlights in Madrid
Madrid is all about good food, and there are a few classics you simply have to try. Start your day with a Tortilla de Patatas at Taberna El Buo, one of the city’s go-to spots for this Spanish staple. Another local must-try: Huevos Rotos at Taberna Almendro 13, great for sharing with friends.
A must-stop? The legendary Chocolatería San Ginés for the city’s most famous Churros con Chocolate. And if you prefer to sample your way through, head over to Calle Cava Baja in La Latina, Madrid’s top tapas street. Packed with bars like Taberna Tempranillo or La Concha, it’s made for a proper tapas night.
Want it all in one place? Check out the Mercado de San Miguel, a historic food market mixing tapas, wine, and gourmet bites in a cool, modern setting.
Drinks & nightlife in Madrid
Madrid’s nightlife is a real highlight. From traditional bars to trendy clubs, you’ll find everything you need to round off your race weekend in style. For a classic bar experience, we recommend Bar Sierra, a long-standing favourite known for its character and great drinks.
Prefer something a bit more modern? Head to one of the city’s rooftop bars – Hotel de las Letras or RIU Plaza España both offer stunning views and a unique atmosphere, perfect for watching the sunset.
And after that? Madrid doesn’t sleep. The city’s nightlife is something else. Restaurants stay open late, bars only start filling up around midnight, and the parties? They often last until sunrise. After the race, just follow the vibe and enjoy everything this city has to offer.
Madrid must-sees for your weekend
There’s so much more to Madrid than just motorsport. The Palacio de Cristal in Retiro Park stuns with its glass architecture, while the nearby Puerta de Alcalá is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Retiro Park itself is a must-visit, a green oasis in the heart of the capital, perfect for a break from the track.
To really experience Madrid’s diversity, take some time to explore its neighbourhoods. Malasaña is all about creativity, street art and lively bars – ideal if you’re in the mood for a stylish night out after the race. For something completely different, head to the elegant Barrio de Salamanca: glamorous, luxurious, and made for high-end shopping or a refined evening in one of its exclusive restaurants.
With your F1 Madrid Tickets, your trip won’t just be about race day. It’ll turn into an unforgettable city break.

Spain’s capital offers accommodation for every budget: from luxury hotels in the elegant Barrio de Salamanca, to stylish boutique hotels in Malasaña, all the way to budget-friendly hostels and centrally located apartments. Tips for a stress-free journey
The Formula 1 Madrid circuit is located right next to IFEMA, just about five minutes by car from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. That makes it one of the most conveniently located circuits on the entire F1 calendar.
Public transport
Madrid has a well-developed network of metro lines, trains and buses, making it the quickest and most convenient way to reach the circuit.
Metro
Line 8 takes you from Nuevos Ministerios or directly from the airport to Feria de Madrid station. From there, it’s a short walk to the south entrance of the IFEMA complex. Handy tip: with the Madrid Metro app, you’ve always got timetables, routes and tickets ready to go.
Renfe Cercanías (Regional Train)
Line C1 gets you comfortably to Valdebebas station, with direct connections to central hubs like Atocha, Recoletos, and Chamartín, as well as to Terminal 4 at the airport.
Bus
Several bus lines stop near the Madring circuit:
- 73, 112, 122 → IFEMA Madrid
- 171, 174, N2, 828 → Valdebebas
- 87, N2 → Las Cárcavas
Especially useful: Line 828 links the airport with several key areas around the circuit.
Taxi & ride-sharing
During the race weekend, official taxi ranks will be available near the Madring. Alternatively, services like Uber and Cabify are a great choice for flexible travel to and from the venue.
Travelling by car
Private parking is available close to the circuit. However, as spaces are limited and traffic is expected to be heavy over the weekend, we recommend using public transport for a smoother, stress-free journey.
