Our top recommendations for your F1 weekend
The Singapore Grand Prix is far more than just a race. It’s one of the city’s most spectacular events. The entire city transforms into a massive stage as the F1 cars speed through Marina Bay under the floodlights. Add global music icons live on stage, iconic landmarks right along the track, and world-famous street food, and it’s no surprise fans from around the globe secure their F1 Singapore Tickets early.
Festival atmosphere & live concerts right by the circuit
The Singapore F1 2026 weekend brings a festival vibe to the heart of the city. Each night, the Padang Stage in Zone 4 comes alive with world-class live performances, turning the Marina Bay circuit into a massive open-air concert arena.
Good to know: All Singapore GP Tickets include access to the main concerts in Zone 4, no matter your ticket category. Even with Singapore F1 General Admission Tickets, you can enter Zone 4. Depending on your ticket type, you may also access additional zones, but the full concert experience at Padang Stage is guaranteed.
With a Zone 2 Ticket, it’s also worth visiting the Singapore Flyer, a 165-metre-high observation wheel offering breathtaking views over the illuminated skyline and the track. A must-do during Grand Prix weekend.
Looking for even more action? Head to the F1 Fanzone: hop in the racing simulator, snap an AR selfie with the drivers, pose at the podium, or try your luck for a track walk after selected sessions.
City vibes & short escapes
As the racing sessions don’t start until late afternoon, you’ve got the mornings free to explore Singapore. Start the day with a stroll along Marina Bay, soak up the views from the SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands, or wander through the futuristic Gardens by the Bay.
Culture fans will love the Asian Civilisations Museum and the National Gallery, both just a few MRT stops from the track.
If shopping’s more your thing, don’t miss the Raffles City and Suntec City malls. During GP week, they become buzzing F1 hubs, with Williams Racing Fan Zones, meet & greets, Q&A sessions, eSports simulators and exclusive merch. The perfect way to dive into the F1 world before the on-track action begins.
Got a bit more time? Check out the colourful neighbourhoods of Kampong Glam and Chinatown, or sip on a cocktail at Clarke Quay as the city lights come on.
Food hotspots: from street snacks to signature chilli crab
Food is just as much a part of the Singapore experience as the race itself. Right by the circuit, Makansutra Gluttons Bay serves up iconic street food under the stars, perfect for a quick bite between sessions.
For more local favourites like Satay, Chilli Crab or Chicken Rice, head to one of Singapore’s legendary hawker centres. Whether it’s Maxwell Food Centre, Old Airport Road or the iconic Lau Pa Sat – this is where you’ll find authentic Singapore flavours and a buzzing local vibe.
Prefer something a bit more refined? Treat yourself to Chilli Crab at Palm Beach Seafood, Italian cuisine with a view at Prego, or British comfort food at Bread Street Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay in Marina Bay Sands. For more food inspo tailored to your taste, just check out Tripadvisor.

Where to stay during the Singapore Grand Prix
Singapore offers a wide range of hotels for every budget, from luxury resorts to city hostels. Booking early is definitely worth it, and choosing the right location makes all the difference.
If you're after an exclusive stay, the luxury hotels along Marina Bay are the place to be. You’ll have stunning skyline views and be just a short walk from the circuit – ideal for a seamless, stress-free race weekend.
Neighbourhoods like Kampong Glam, Chinatown and Clarke Quay offer stylish boutique hotels and modern stays – perfect if you want to dive into the nightlife after the sessions. The MRT gets you to the track quickly and easily.
Travelling on a smaller budget? No problem. Hostels and budget hotels in areas like Bugis or Little India put you right in the heart of the city, and thanks to excellent MRT connections, you’ll be at the circuit in just a few minutes.
How to get to the circuit: directions & transport tips
The Marina Bay Street Circuit is right in the heart of Singapore and is easily reached by MRT, taxi, or even on foot. Whether you’re flying in from abroad or staying in the city, getting to the track is easy if you keep a few things in mind.
Flying into Singapore
Most international visitors land at Changi Airport (SIN), which is about 20–25 minutes by car from Marina Bay. Taxis are available at all terminals, and ride-hailing apps like Grab also get you straight to the city centre.
The MRT is a great alternative: take the East–West Line from Changi to City Hall or Raffles Place. Allow around 50 minutes, including a transfer at Tanah Merah. Around race weekend, be sure to plan a little extra time as traffic and road closures can cause delays, especially in the evenings.
Getting to the Marina Bay Circuit by MRT (Mass Rapid Transit)
The MRT is the quickest and most hassle-free way to get to the track. Clean, air-conditioned and super-efficient – several stations lead directly to the circuit gates:
- City Hall (NS25/EW13) → Access to Zone 1 & 4
- Esplanade (CC3) → Zone 4
- Promenade (CC4/DT15) → Zone 1 & 2
- Bayfront (CE1/DT16) → Zone 1 & 2
- Raffles Place (NS26/EW14) → Zone 4
- Nicoll Highway (CC5) → additional access to Zone 1 (Gate 1)
Good to know: MRT trains run later during GP weekend – on Sunday until around 00:45. You can pay easily using contactless bank cards, your smartphone or via the EZ-Link Card/Singapore Tourist Pass.
By taxi or ride-hailing
Whether it’s a traditional taxi or a Grab ride, you'll get around Singapore flexibly and comfortably. Just bear in mind: after races or concerts, demand and prices go up. Tip: arrange to be dropped off or picked up a few streets away to avoid post-race traffic right at the circuit.
Walking & local access
If you’re staying in the city centre, walking is often the easiest way. The circuit is just minutes away from many hotels, restaurants and fan zones. Walkways are wide, well-lit and safe. One key point: your Ticket determines your zone and entry gate. Therefore, check which entrance to use in advance.
Useful apps for your Singapore GP trip
A few helpful apps can make your race weekend even smoother. From transport planning to restaurant reservations, here are some apps worth downloading before you arrive.
