Experience the incredible layout of İstanbul Park
Home to one of Formula 1's most celebrated circuit designs, İstanbul Park is a favourite among drivers and fans alike. No section is more famous than Turn 8, a fast four-apex corner that has challenged Formula 1 drivers since the Turkish Grand Prix first joined the calendar in 2005. The combination of speed, precision and commitment makes this legendary corner a must-see during your Formula 1 weekend in Istanbul.

Tips for a stress-free journey
Planning your trip to the Grand Prix in Türkiye in advance can help you make the most of your race weekend. İstanbul Park is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, outside the city centre, so it's worth considering your transport options before travelling. Whether you arrive by plane, public transport or car, a little preparation will ensure a smoother journey to the circuit.
Arriving by plane
Istanbul is served by two major international airports:
- Istanbul Airport (IST) – approx. 80 km (around 1 hour by car)
- Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) – approx. 10 km (around 12 minutes by car)
Sabiha Gökçen is the closest airport to İstanbul Park, while Istanbul Airport offers an extensive selection of international connections for visitors travelling to the Turkish Grand Prix.
Driving to the circuit by car or motorcycle
Driving is one of the easiest ways to reach İstanbul Park. Whether you're travelling from the European or Asian side of Istanbul, simply enter the circuit address into your navigation system before setting off:
Akfırat, Göçbeyli Bv No:1, 34959 Tuzla, İstanbul
Getting to the circuit by public transport
From the city centre, the Marmaray line offers a direct rail crossing to the Asian side. From there, the M4 metro runs towards Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), the closest major transport hub to the circuit, from where taxis and local buses cover the remaining distance to İstanbul Park.
An Istanbulkart is the easiest way to pay for metro, bus, tram and ferry travel throughout the city. Cards can be purchased at station vending machines and transport hubs, or set up digitally via the Istanbulkart app before you travel. Check out our app recommendations below to be fully prepared for the race weekend.
