Our top recommendations for your Formula 1 weekend
Formula 1 Shanghai Tickets combine high-speed racing with one of the most modern Formula 1 venues on the calendar. The Shanghai International Circuit delivers exciting overtaking action, long straights and technical corners, while the official Fan Zone keeps the atmosphere going throughout the entire race weekend. Experience Formula 1 in Shanghai surrounded by the skyline and energy of one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
Shanghai International Circuit delivers exciting overtaking action
The Shanghai International Circuit was designed for strategic racing and wheel-to-wheel battles. The layout even reflects the Chinese character “shàng” (上), meaning “above” or “ascend”, which connects the circuit directly to the name of Shanghai.
One of the circuit’s most iconic sections is the “Snail” complex in Turns 1–3. Drivers enter the long, tight corner at high speed while putting extreme pressure on the front-left tyre. This section often creates different racing lines and opens opportunities for early overtakes.
The circuit also features one of the longest straights in Formula 1. Drivers reach top speeds along the 1.2 km back straight before braking heavily into the Turn 14 hairpin, the main overtaking hotspot of the Chinese Grand Prix.
Formula 1 Fan Zone in Shanghai offers interactive experiences
The official Formula 1 Fan Zone at the Shanghai International Circuit gives fans access to interactive motorsport experiences throughout the race weekend. Located behind Grandstand A at the Fountain Plaza, the Fan Zone is included with Formula 1 Shanghai Tickets and combines technology with great racing activities.
Highlights inside the Formula 1 Fan Zone include:
- F1 Sim Racing: drive the virtual Shanghai International Circuit and compete for the fastest lap on the daily leaderboard
- Pit Stop Challenge: change tyres on a full-scale Formula 1 show car and test your teamwork against the clock
- Blast Lane: experience the forces Formula 1 drivers feel inside the cockpit with a high-speed wind tunnel simulator
